Bosch Nordic Experience: Great feedback from students discovering Bosch

Bosch Nordic Experience is an international campaign developed to show the students from Scandinavia and Baltics (referred to as Nordic region) that Bosch is more than you might think.

Bosch Nordic Experience is an international campaign developed to show the students from Scandinavia and Baltics (referred to as Nordic region) that Bosch is more than you might think. The events has been taking place since 2015, and each year it called upon 10 adventurous, bright and social media strong students to embark on a four-day trip. The journey included a visit to different Bosch Hubs based in Sweden, participation in Bosch case competitions, as well as challenging and networking activities with inspiring Bosch products and colleagues.

This journey offered every year a great insight into Bosch, meeting a diverse group of students from the 7 Nordic countries and plenty of fun. All of these activities were organized and paid by Bosch. Furthermore, participants were presented with the opportunity to become part of Bosch Nordic Students Talent Pool and thereby stay in touch for future career opportunities within Bosch.

The idea behind the event is to increase awareness among students that Bosch is a top employer in the Nordics. “It’s a very competitive market and we need to be the employer of first choice for these students,” says Petya Docheva, Senior HR Project Manager at RBSN/HRC. “We realized that it’s not enough just to be present at career fairs, we also need to engage with talented students in different ways during the year. Our mission is to show students that Bosch means more than they might think.”

During the events, the students had the opportunity to gain insights into Bosch and enjoy time for networking and fun with Bosch colleagues. Other activities included workshops, where the students learnt more about the divisions of Bosch and got to use different Bosch tools themselves. There were also climbing and yoga activities related to mindfulness and mindful leadership at Bosch.

The event was greatly appreciated by the students and feedback from them over the years was really positive. “Sometimes people perceive big companies like Bosch as being quite formal and difficult to connect to, but we got great feedback from the students, who said they were impressed by how very friendly and welcoming Bosch staff are,” says Petya, a Bosch colleague and organizer of the events. “In particular, we got very good feedback on the commitment of our colleagues and how passionate they are about their jobs. Many thanks to all our Bosch Nordic colleagues who supported this initiative and especially the great Bosch teams in Sweden!”
